Jen joined the Tecumsehs as a rookie in the playoff game against the Saints at the start of the 2003 season. Dragged along by Justine to make up the numbers in order to avoid forfeiting the game, it's fair to say that Jen didn't grasp the fundamentals particularly quickly, except for the drinking. However with some loud and emphatic coaching from Adrian and Spence (of the "stop, "run", "get back on the f-ing bag" variety) Jen made it through the 2003 season along with fellow rookies Farooq, Seth and Ruth.
Like most girls new to the game, Jen spent her first couple of seasons at catcher and right field with the occasional foray into more dangerous territory at 3B. The 2007 season saw her playing at 2B though, which she describes as "scary". Her batting still sucks though.
Jen has umpired for the team since 2005 and after a spell as team rep for 2006 which saw her co-ordinating the team from Moscow, 2007 saw her responsible for making sure that the Tecumseh umpiring commitments were fulfilled.
Tired of the rock 'n' roll lifestyle of begging with people at 6pm on a weekday to go and stand in a field for two hours, this year's umpiring co-ordinator is Tony.
