Some of the 2007 Tecumsehs at Barn Elms

The original London Tecumseh were a bunch of amateur Canadians who took the world series by storm at the end of the 19th century. They turned professional the following year and it all went horribly wrong. This London Tecumseh believe in the lessons that can be learnt from history and stick to playing co-ed (mixed) recreational softball in the 4th division of the Greater London Softball Mixed League (GLSML).

Last year the Tecumsehs celebrated 15 years in the GLSML by getting relegated. This year, who knows. The season runs from April to August and our home games are played in N16, in Clissold Park by the duck pond, before retiring to the Rose & Crown for a little (and sometimes a lot) of light refreshment. Away games can see us travelling as far afield as Richmond and Barnes or anywhere within the "Greater London" area. After a couple of seasons this tends to lead to an in depth knowledge of last trains and nightbuses.

The exploits of the Tecumsehs are (sometimes) recorded on the Tecumseh blog, which is maintained by Tom "Two Pants" Miles, and the current league standings can be found on the BSUK website.

The London Softball Federation also does stuff in London that's softball related (although no-one seems to be quite sure what, beyond organising the odd tournament).

The wiki is still in its infancy, so anyone one who wants to write something for it please email it to Jen. Any photos that you have lying about would also be gratefully received.
